The RRI green team was awarded the RecycleWorks Award from the City of Portland's Office of Sustainable Development in April 2008. We are currently one of three departments at PSU who have been awarded this honor.
As a RecycleWorks award winner, the RRI will:
- Gain attention with an award made from reclaimed bicycle parts
- Earn public recognition through advertisements ran in the Oregonian's In Portland section, and in the Portland Business Journal
- Be a role model for other businesses
- Earn appreciation from consumers, community members and employees alike who value efforts to conserve resources.
As a result of winning this award, the RRI was featured in the Portland Business Journal.
