Free tickets (two per person) are now available at the Portland State University box office for Andrew Revkin's "Nine Billion People, One Planet" lecture on November 10, 2009. The box office is located at 1825 SW Broadway on the ground floor of the Smith Memorial Student Union.
Revkin is considered to be the world's leading environment reporter, and he has great ideas about how we can think fresh and create a better tomorrow. He is a longtime reporter at the New York Times and runs the
paper's daily DotEarth blog.
In his free-to-the-public lecture, Revkin will talk about the natural and human challenges of supporting a population that's expected to reach 9 billion by 2050. He'll also talk about how we can restore environmental conditions and create a more resilient future.
