The results will be published on the Contemporary North American Indigenous Artists Blog: http://contemporarynativeartists.tumblr.com/
Students will learn about Native artists and Indigenous history through guest lectures, field trips to local museums and galleries, documentaries, and firsthand experience.
Instructor Bio: Wendy Red Star’s work explores the intersection between life on the Crow Indian reservation and the world outside of that environment. Red Star thinks of herself as a Crow Indian cultural archivist learning and presenting information and art work about the experience of being a Native American in contemporary society.
