Perhaps you’ve seen our crew leader training posters at your favorite coffee shop and wondered whether this is the year? Well, time is running out on registering for one of our (free) upcoming trainings!
Crew leaders are critically important to the success of our Neighborhood Trees and Green Space Initiative programs. They lead teams of volunteers, ensuring the trees are being planted correctly and in the appropriate locations, and that the team is working well together.
At the training, you’ll learn more about our programs and urban forestry in general, as well as how to plant trees, lead teams and become a rock star volunteer. You’ll receive snacks, lunch and even a coveted Friends of Trees “Tree Team” t-shirt.
We ask that you are able to commit to 3-4 planting events over the course of the planting season (December - March) and you can create whatever schedule works best for you based upon our planting calendar.
Space is limited at these trainings, so you’ll need to register soon to reserve your spot.
